So I finally got my 2.3 Turbo running good and was able to get some boost out of it. I took it a little easy because the rings haven't seated yet.

I love having a unique Mustang II.

Who here has a unique II? I know we have some 4.6 and 5.4L guys here, any other cool things people have done?

I would love to see and gets specs for a coil set up 8.8 rear end.

Yeah, has to be coil. I'm even looking into fittment of a Merkur 8.8...independent rear suspension . They are almost a bolt in (providing fitment).

Why coil? Independant I could see,but when I think of coil spring rears, it brings back bad memories of broken rears ( wheel hop ) in a 71 chevelle.

Well I was looking into the Merkur independent rear suspension this weekend. It's a bolt out of the xr4ti but will require more welding fabrication that I feel comfortable with (at my current skill level).

I have a lot of xr4ti friends with suspension upgrades and wanted something to do so I could at least try and keep up with them. I figured the IRS would be the best, with a coil setup 8.8 being next.

I went with the 2.3 Turbo for it's lightness and power with the intention of improving the car's handling. Is there anyone here auto crossing a MII? I figured an 8" would probably be just as strong as an 8.8, but I currently have a 6cyl rear end.
