Yeah, I know what you mean. I've got an itching to buy some FR500's in black for my car. . .

buddy of mine has a 4v cobra re-painted a copper color (some mazda color IIRC like found on a mazda 3 or 6) with black 03 cobra rims. He went back and forth liking it and eventualy grew to hate them. They drew ALOT of attention and several cops pulled him over thinking he was some punk teenager (he is pushing 30).

He got some roush 18in rims not too long ago and I must say, I like them more on the car than the black rims.

I actually hate most black wheels, and never have liked them on any mustangs. They look like spare tires. Can't make out any detail.

Black wheels pwn.

Cheaper

hardly no upkeep (compared to chrome and polished)

and they stay looking good for a long time.

Plus they look alot better.

I had a tough choice for my wheels when it came to black or anthracite bullits. I think I made the right choice, but black would have looked pretty badass.

I don't hate black wheels, I just don't think they look right on all colors, or without the right stance. They look good of course with the DD polished lip, but I'm not a fan of all-black wheels such as '03 Cobra's painted black for example. I chose anthrocite FR500's just to be a bit different since everyone and their brother seems to be running black bullets, and they're just as easy to up-keep.

I know what you mean

It depends upon the color of the car

Window tint is kinda like that too

Its all about the total package and if it all works together as I see it

not a huge fan of black wheels either they are ok if they have the polished lip but pure black ones like the 03 cobras are just nasty looking... i think 1tallmf said it best

I only knew of one other car with Black Bullitts... in June of 03 - I bought them because every mustang on the road had Cobra's. I have to agree they are everywhere now.

BTW - STILL running the same tires that came with the wheels.
