lol just as my warranty goes out within 500 miles later my freaking cruise control decides to stop working and my passenger fog light burns out. lol never had a problem with the car before. I think that ford tries to get a pretty close estimate on how long the car will last and then make the warranty last till just under that point. its kinda funny actually but o well.

yea its pretty funny its like the commercial when the lady made the last car payment over the fun and her husband said nothing would go wrong and then they make the payment and the rear view mirror falls off lol. o well i dont really care i dont use cruise control often only on long trips and i do those once in a blue moon. now that warranty is up let the real modding commence.

Mine expired while it was away for the winter. I pulled it out and the window would not go down. I had it in the dealer while it was under warrenty because I thought the window motor made too much noise. They said it was fine. After whacking it with a hammer it works but its still noisy. The bearings in the alternator are bad, but it still works.

My cruise went out after I removed the pedal assembly to paint the valve covers, but I just needed to adjust the BPP sensor and it works fine now.

my cruise control has a mind of its own, it worked when I got the car, then it decided to quit workin for a couple months. Then one day it just decided to start working again

guys, check the cruise control linkage to the throttle body.

its not the linkage. it works but its more of a button problem the button seems to be falling apart and i kinda have the play around with it and move the button from side to side and all that mess and then it works. o well though i dont use it often. my fog light burnt out cause i run them everyday during the day lol.

and to respond to durst yea i am either going the camd route or the TT route. not really sure what this is like on the 5 year plan right now though lol i gotta get through college and get stuff payed off first.

Yeah mine is a button problem I would have to sit there an play with the buttons forever to get it to come on! An i've had to replace the foglight already the first one got water in it an poped.

Ya, my horn and cruise control and airbag light all came on, and stop working one day...hahaha 14 days after my warranty ended.... WTF, now thats good enginering !

That screams clockspring or as ford calls it airbag sliding contact.

You can replace it yourself if you want to..

1. center steering wheel and then disconnect the battery

2. remove plugs on side of steering wheel to remove 8mm bolts.

3. remove bolts

4. pull back air bag and disconnect the two connectors.

5. remove lower dash trim cover

6. loosen steering wheel retaining bolt it's a torx I think it's a t-45 if I remember correctly

7. with the bolt still in but loose rock steering wheel firmly until it pops free..

8. remove bolt and then remove the column covers you will need to turn the key to the second position and use a pick to hit the button on the lock cylinder to release it, you will see the hole to access this button on the bottom of the column cover

9. remove clockspring and disconnect connectors, then install clockspring

10. install all removed parts.
