Not totally sure cause my dad deals with all that stuff but i'm like 99% sure. Anyway Our boxes (not DVR ones) fried on a storm and my dad called Dish network and talked to them and they said send up your old boxes and we'll send you the DVRs. He asked about buying them but they told him if you rent them from us if anything ever happens to them we'll replace them. If you by them its all on you. so we rent them not sure how much it cost though
