Ok, so i was telling my best friend, (GM born and raised, Honda mechanic, lover of most things cars, familiear with what the LS1 F-Bodies can do) that my car, bone stock, with a good driver, on a good day, at a low atlitude track, is capable of high 13s.... He finds it hard to believe.... So, i said fine ill prove it to you...
He's not an arrogant, ignorant prick, hes quite the opposite, very knowlegable(went to wyotech), been my friend for 6-7 years, and is actually very helpful with giving in put to what i want to do(im not that stupid myself) and he likes to help me "defend" against imports, though he can appreciate their effiecient way of going quick...
Requirements are these, i must run it like it is now.... like in my profile... street driven weight, no suspension mods, power mods, no DR's or slicks, nothing....
so, i need some suggestions, besides practice, to help me on my way....
as stated in my sig, ive been to the track only once, Bever Springs, and ran a 14.67 with a 2.0 60'
Now Beaver Springs is said to run up hill, and supposedly, you should take .3 off your time. So HYPATHETICLY, i ran a 14.37.
Now, this spring/summer i will bet hitting the strip as much as possible, but this time a "real" one, Maplegrove.
OK, one question, tell me if this is true or not: Ive heart that .1 off your 60' is generally worth .3 at the line.... is that true?
my goal is a 13.90, for now. on more than one pass(consistency=practice, i know) so that i can prove that its not a fluke....
with practice, if i get my short time down to say a 1.9 or 1.8, will that be enough to get me there? all im looking for for now is .5
Thanks guys,
:SNSign:
