hey everyone i got a 95 mustang gt w/ 5 speed with some boltons im about to install a vortech supercharger. should i stay with the stock gears or move to 3.55 or 3.73. which is better?
There is a lot of opinion on this. I would lean towards 3.55s for this application, if staying with stock HCI and only minor bolt ons. If you plan on doing a complete HCI package, get the 3.73s and only do the job once. I recommend a rebuild kit with new clutch packs while you are in there.
i'll be switching down from 3.73s to 3.55 in the future with my setup. but i'm also pushing a lot more power than you'll be with just the blower. i'd say go with the 3.73s
thanks alot for the gear info guys, oh and one other question. do you have any recommendations on a tuner? i see alot of em 4 the 96 and up but none 4 the 95
the boltons are bbk fender intake, eldebrock upper and lower manifolds, underdrive pullies, bbk long tube headers, bbk mid pipe no cats, flowmaster cat back
