I need to get a 255 pump for my 408 stroker. The car will be n/a and be using the stock fuel lines. Any suggestions as to which pump is best?

It's my understanding that the majority of them are actually made by the same company- Walbro, which is a good brand. It's what I run.

Yeah, Walbro and Bosch make the majority of them unless you're getting a serious fuel system by Aeromotive. You can buy a Walbro for like $99 here on Stangnet from one of the Vendors. I bought one from Rick 91GT a few months ago.

Rick, have you had the chance to play with the new Aeromotive 340 yet?

No, typically when I need that kind of volume Im building a full system. I find the lines and rails are a restriction before I run out of what a 255lph provides. Right now Im really high on the offerings from Fuelab....(external stuff)

I have heard that from a lot of people. I'm just intrigued with the 340 because it's an in-tank which would allow for a more stockish setup.

id personaly never trust any fuel system behind an aeromotive pump. ive seen WAY to many of them burn up tearing themselves apart

I bought a house brand Walbro from High Flow Fuel for about $80 last year. No fuel pressure problems yet.
