I need a carb

Yep, a 302 is a 5.0. A GM 305 is also a 5.0...... But the traditional Ford 5.0 is the 302. Just laughing to myself that you didn't know that... Do you not work on cars much, or are you just a Chevy guy? ;)

And yeah, like 84 said...you dont need to go too big for these motors, especially if you dont have a lot of mods. I'd say go 650 at your biggest, and thats if it's got some decent work done to it. Not like 347 stroker...but you know....intake, cam...little piddly stuff.

i dont really work on cars.. im 16 and dont really have alot of mechanicle knowledge but i knew the carb was missing :) i just really want to get the engine running so i can swap it with my 89 2.3.. but thanks tho

isnt that a 2 barrel motorcraft carb on those cars im pretty sure it is and it should be an aluminum intake. i believe i still have an intake and carb off of a friends 79 pace car
