I need a drop, buy what springs are going to be safe?

this sounds kinda like a n00b question but it isn't. I've never dropped my car cuz of my exhaust, basically the x-pipe hangs way low on my car and the cats scrape mildly on speedbumps in the two cities north and south of me (diff regulations) but not here. And my side pipe i already need to watch for when taking a turn out of a parking lot cuz of curbs, but i need to drop it, it looks like a 4X4 IMO w/ my new KDWII's. what do you guys recomend will be a small anough drop but still look good? hook up some links maybe:SNSign:

my side exhuast currently is rarely the problem, i believe it's my SLP catted x-pipe that scraping, unless i make too sharp of a turn from a sidewalk exit - then it's my side pipe bend.

Bullitt if you're cheap or tight on funds and aren't a corner carver.

Do the shocks/struts at the same time. No sense aligning it twice.

i don't really have any issue with my side exhaust. what i have issue wit is the stupid U bolts that hold tip to pipe. because that part hangdown another 1/2". But i drive careful, and avoide all and any potholes and speed bumps. And my car is not DD
Just measure how much room u have from bottom of tip to ground. whatever u have, subtract whatever spring your thinking abut, and you'll get an idea what your gonna end up with. if its like 3.5" or lower, then you'll have issues as i do

You should have no problems with the H&R sport springs.
They will give you a 1.5" drop just like the Eibach Pro kit.
Loss the 4X4 stance lol.

thanks mity2, ill consider that, i dont have those U bolts cuz i welded all mine together for my side pipes, but the SLP does so ill do that measuring, thanks again

Depends on what goal you're after.

If you don't speed in the turns, the stockers will be ok for a while. If yours are the stock ones, they're probably shot anyway so you may as well do the replacement at the same time.

The Bullitt Tokico's are a decent shock/strut for the money. If you get the Bullitt kit, you won't spend that much and you'll get a 3/4" drop and not require CC plates. I had the Bullitt kit, but for me it wasn't enough so I upgraded.

If the SLP x-pipe hangs too low or those u-bolts do, try loosening everything up and tucking it up closer to the body. My Xpipe and Catback used to scrape like a bitchw ith my Sportlines w/ no front isolators. I loosened the x-pipe and catback up and tucked everything closer to the body and retightened. Now with the H&R SS that sit ALOT lower in the front and same in the back, i don't rub but maybe once a week on a really crappy driveway or speedbump.

sorry to jump in on this thread but where would one get this bullit suspension from? US ford dealers cheap or some company somewhere?? as im looking at a subtle drop when i get my 18's i aint no farmer so dont want a tractor!!

im just going to buy a pro kit for about a 1.5" drop then a set of tokico shocks and struts off ebay for $257 shipped

I personally have Ford Racing C springs and like them. Got them from Summit for around $140. If you want the Bullitt susp package for $399 for shocks, struts, springs, front and rear sway bars... here you go:

The Bullitt shocks/struts are re-badged Tokico's valved to Ford's specs.

The sway bars you have may cause under/oversteer, depending on the thickness of the bar. Find out what brand it is.
