I need a drop, buy what springs are going to be safe?

Looks like that kit is on backorder.... Everything in that package is what's on the Bullitt. Swaybars are better also. Not much of a drop, look around for some stock Bullitt Mustang pics to see if you like it.

Wait, maybe I misunderstood. You have F/R swaybars, but are they OEM or aftermarket.

I assumed you meant AM, but the OEM ones are fine. The Bullitt kit, like others said, comes with the larger F/R bars, and is designed as a full kit. The 3/4" drop should be fine, especially if you're worried about going too low.

^Would you be able to substitute c-springs with that kit since they are Ford? I like the kit, but I'd like more than just a 1" drop..

yeah, mine are OEM, but for my year it's a 1" drop not a 3/4" which is nice for my set up. It's on backorder though so ill try ordering it after christmas if i dont get some springs as gifts

I just measured my clearences:
side pipe tips: 5.5"
Cats: 4.25-4.5"
pipes: 5.25"
Resonator: 5"
Looks like the cats are the biggest problem, if i had an O/R pipe it's be a 5" clearence there but u dont dare go O/R in cali. Looks like i need to get about a 1" drop otherwise i'll be below 3.5" at the cat which Mity2 says is no bueno. What do you guys think?

i know what you mean... i just swapped from my offroad midpipe to the SLP catted X and it hangs sooo low especially with cats on the car now

i say go with H&R sports. mild drop that still looks nice. dont go anything lower...and stay away from teh dredded eibach!

what? if he goes wtih H&R Sport, which is 1.6"F/1.5"R dropp, he'll have 2.65"~2.9" crealance at the cat. thats just too damn low. U'll be fine until you come across small bump on the road in night.

I say you either go with Bullitt spring that was posted somewher inthis thread(not the kit. Just spring), whick is .75"(or 1" for pre99 GT), or Steeda Sport, which if i remenber this right, they were 1.25" dropp

U can also replace cat with something thats flatter. My car is magnaflow, and they are flat on the bottom

on americanmuscle.com it says for Steeda sports: Sport Springs lower the car 1" to 11/4"
11/4 = 2.75'!! has anyone used these?
also i dont feel like buyinf another set of high flow cats and rewelding em to the pipes
also, why not the bullit package. Cuz it's back ordered or cuz you wouldn;t recomend it?

why are the Eibach's dreaded? The pro kit is 1.5", 1.5" while the H+R kit is 1996-2004:
Front: 1.75"
Rear: 1.6"

Because the Eibach Sportlines have a tendency to sag in the rear and it doesn't look great

I have the steeda sports and the drop was about 1.75 inch all around...it looks great and handles great but it too low for everyday driving... I wanted the Bullit kit but it was backordered for months.

So I've had the bullitt kit for several years now, and have been mostly satisfied with the kit. Definately firmed up the ride, eliminating brake dive and much less roll in the corneres. Since I bought mine a few years ago, it wasn't bundled with the anti-sway bars, but then again was even less expensive. My front dropped just about 1" and the rear dropped (I think) 1.25", but took a few months to settle - my car is not a dd. I'm planning on taking out the front, top isolators to get it just a little more in the front.

I don't have to worry about my car scraping, so I would like it even lower now. I also would like the ability to "tune" the ride with adjustable shocks/struts. So If I were to buy today, I would get H&Rs with Tokico adjustables.

Here's how it sits now, pic taken over the summer.... Sorry for the size.

i was just saying H&R sports because they usually drop less than advertised. its hard to say, because every car drops differently. I've seen a couple cars lowered on steeda sport springs that looked as low as my 2" sportline drop.

i guess i agree with mity2 and say go with bullitt springs for the drop, but sometimes they dont lower the car hardly any and the rear always seems to sit lower with mach 1 and bullitt springs
