I was wondering who here has swapped out their stock struts and shocks at home? If so, is there a tech article I can look at. Pictures would be good also. I just bought the MACH 1 tokico shocks/struts from the Ford Parts Newtork.
Look at the tech article here on stang net for changing springs, just leave the springs in, and also remove the top bolt for the struts/shocks. Its basicly the same procedure.
for the back shocks you need to pull away the plastic covers around the edges inside the trunk to get to the top bolt...for the rest you can just follow the write-up for spring install
ive done this several times on a few mustangs...the first i did it i used the tech article here on stangnet. its great. once you do the first side you wont need the instructions for the other side...everything is very straight forward...
