I have a 94 5.0 with 4.10's, world class transmission t-5, mac cold air, off-roajecd x-pipe, flow 40 series dumped.

I need to beat my buddies 2005 Infinity G35 (Skyline????) Turbo at 6psi, 350hp

I think I need to add the following tell me what you think:
Ford Racing B-Cam ( allready have)
Long-Tubes (BBK?)
Injectors (32 PSI?? Help with these)
MAF 70mm??????
Rockers (1.7'S)

Do you think this is enough?

forget the injectors they will do nothing for you. start with the headers. then get yourself some heads and an intake.

great driving, great traction and a bottle of giggly gas w/ a 125 pill in it and it should be over. he didn't say 350 rwhp he just said 350 hp, so that's about 300 ish to the tires. if it is 350 rwhp, then its a different story, add h/c/i along with the bottle.

bad news for you is he could crank that boost up to about 12psi and blow your doors off come race day, then u spent all that money and get your ass handed to u and feel like an idiot lol.

yeah your best best is mentioned above get a head/intake/ cam , and a poweradder like bottle, or a supercharger...what ever you can afford... and get some gears if you dont already have some...gears get you ahead fast then you got the bottle to keep you out front

I usually don't get involved in threads like these

but

In this case

I give no concern ... what so ever ... about what ANY of those

Little ricer, cracker box, puddle jumper, wanna be cars can ... or ... can not do

He is MUCH lighter so his hp to weight ratio puts him in a whole different class

Its almost like trying to beat a motorcycle

Its a whole lot like matching up a light weight boxer next to a heavy weight.

Its just not an .... apples to apples comparison

Now ... if you really want to pursue this madness.

A heavy vert and b-cam do not go together

If money is tight ... most likely ... juice would give you a better chance of obtaining your goal.

I still say ... Screw his little Tiny Hiney car

Just build your Stang to satisfy yourself

the g35 is not a light car by any means. it comes in around 3400. so in this case we cant use weight for an excuse

so the car is a g35 turbo (since the skyline is not here yet)? ive seen a TT one go 12.9 @ 110 at the track once this year.

Grady, I think you might be talking about a different car

The G35 weighs around 3500 w/o driver. I'd also consider it a luxury/sports car before I consider it "rice bait"

maybe that's just me?

I also don't see a G35 with 6lbs of boost making under 350RWHP

ALOT of factors here... but your gonna need more than what ya got, thats for sure.

What kinda G35... is it the Coupe or Sedan? If a sedan is it the all wheel drive sedan? They are not light cars no matter which model, but they only get heavier...lol. OhhI beleieve the four door is based on the Skyline chassis the two door is essentially luxery Z car.

IMHO:
I think a Pullied up charger (and supporting mods ie. fuel pump injectors, etc.), Methanol and a cheap Intake manifold with a somewhat hairy tune... would put him in the HP ball park and with weight savings and good driving he should be fine. Without spending another 2500 on HCI.

Again just in my opinion.

Hey

Guilty as charged

You know how it is with those ..... old guys

They are so closed minded

I saw that "Infinity" word
and
just knew it must be some kinda little rice rocket

Ha Ha ... now you see why I usually don't get involved with these kinds of threads

If it ain't ... Good Ole American Muscle

I usually don't pay much attention to the others

Hey ... even things out between the two cars by putting a bit of boost on your 10 plus year old Stang and see how things turn out

Also keep in mind that the Infiniti won't be turning up the boost much past 6 lbs.... its a relativly high compression motor. I want to say 11:1. Greddys twin turbo kit WITH intercooler was only pushing 6 lbs or so when they first came out.

A friend was looking at getting a 350Z/G35 but balked at amount of work and $$$$$ needed to pump out the hp... turbo kit, internals, pretty much a complete overhaul on a new car. He went and bought an EVO 8 instead...lol.

They are nice cars... but they are no twin turbo 300z.

Not quite your average rice machine. Heavy, well made and 300hp in stock form with a 6spd. A bit bigger than the 350Z. I have been considering one for my new beater, but will probably get the Maxima SE, 4drs and FWD for the winters. All Infiniti's Nissans use basically the same 3.5 V6, different states of tune.

I think It would take a decent amount of work to beat a 6spd N/A G35 coupe, let alone a turbo. They arent as light as their 350z brethren but the 3.5L dohc is a strong engine and the new ones make 306hp. Motor Trend got 14.0 at 100 out of the 4 door sedan (Oct. 06). A turbo coupe would be much faster than that. If you only want to beat him once, i'd throw on some slicks, spray a 125 shot, and hope for the best. lol
