I don't plan on reading your posts, I click on a thread trying to read what someone has to say, or what someone has done to their car, and then BOOM!, a couple posts down there you are ragging on everything they have said.

I don't know if your having a bad month or what but it's getting old bro.

Polished and chrome looks good when its shiny but I gotta say I friggin LOVE RIO5.0 is it? his engine bay, powercoated silver and red look. Looks awesome if I ever build a engine again ill do it that way, looks so damn clean and mint.

I didnt want to go all shinny with everything. With an all black car it just does not seem 100% correct for some reason. That and keeping it clean has to suck, I hate cleaning my TTII's to keep them sparkling.

I got some fox covers and sanded/painted them and ground smooth my Exploder gt40 upper (also did the elbow to match). I painted the detents on the fox covers to match the color of the upper intake. It came out realy nice. I alos cleaned and painted the front cover, and pan the same as the upper intake (the pan was more of a needs paint and some cleaning up deal).

here are some pics.

and the block is all black.

If you have nothing nice/funny to say then don't be an ass. I don't think anyone wants to hear your *****ing. There is no reason to blow up at everybody. So what you have a green car. It's different and draws attention bad and good. If you have a problem with people ragging on your green car and other stuff then keep it out of here.

ANYWAYS, i think i'm gonna pait the intake a nice light grey, and try to get an 86 intake plaque. I think i'm gonna polish the very top of the valve covers, and tape the top off and paint the bottom black, along with my block. The waterpump and tb and elbow will all match the intake. Thanks for the help.

I’m only 21, so it’s not like I am trying to bash the younger generation. I just thought the gay bashing thing was juvenile, that’s all. I remember that being funny in high school, but not anymore.

Aside from all the BS drama , your engine bay does not necessarily have to match the exterior, just complement it. Maybe body color accents on a silver type finish. Not necessarily polished because of all the work involved (I wouldn't want to keep up with it), but a painted silver, or even a darker titanium color might look good. Black and silver are never a a bad choice either. I'm going with red and black, black VCs and upper, Ford red lower and block, bare aluminum heads, but my car is white, so I have alot more options.

And I came in this thread with the intention of gettin a lot of ideas, and to my surprise, a soap is going on. Ok, whatever, No matter how much chrome someone puts under their hood, RIO5.0's bay is the ****. It's so damn amazing without all the bling bling. I wish he would post some pics and give us all ideas.

Thanks for the compliments....I try to keep mine kinda simple/factory....I tend to like the OEM colors..These motors suck as everything is buried...Silver looks good to me as it makes things stand out...

Here's an old look...for stock it looked nice...

I like the FRPP stuff...I go for the factory look...

Simply painted up TB and detail the IAC...

Cleaned up TB and I like Silver for the motor stuff..

I like Black to...The Explorer is way tall...Black kinda hides it....I just dub around with colors til I find something i like...

I did my block in Black and did the oilpan in Ford Red...block doesnt show anway...stock dizzy can be detailed out in Black/Sliver, use a Red cap...looks pretty slick...

Wipe down the TB with anti-seize...looks damn good...I use WD40 on all the plastic/wiring/hose...spray it down and wipe it off...cheap but effective...

Tell me I'm not "officially addicted"... I got way to much time on my hands..
