personally i would go with the flowmaster kit...super 40 series...and you could go borla but its expensive... check out some sound clips...

And here I come with yet another exhaust question.....

Oh, and by the way, I just picked up my new baby a little over a week ago - 2000 Bright Atlantic Blue V6 AOD, under 33K miles, black interior, ABS, all the interior creature comforts, factory 16" rims/spoiler. Yay me!!!!!

Anyway....the first mod will be the exhaust. Can't stand the little single outlet...grrr. So I have seen many tout 'true dual' and while I know exactly what this means, and it's what I plan to do, I know the V8's have a factory H-pipe, which some replace w/an X-pipe for scavenging. Are the V6 guys running any link between the banks here, or just 'true dual', with no link?

I'm planning on chopping right after the factory cats and mating there....don't know if I should be planning on getting an 'X' made for that spot....

I didn't get any sort of link for my flowmaster system. I just stuck with the true dual and I'm happy with the sound I get.

Don't bother with the link(h or x pipe). Get gt takeoffs and replace the mufflers with an aftermarket brand that you want.

Like he said.

An X or H pipe is a waste of $$$ and time as it is notrequired to equalize exhaust in our sixes. Only the 8's need this. In fact, the X and H might actually negate any performance gained from the dual setup.
