I have an 82 mustang GT and am planning on doing the whole 5 lug big brake conversion here in the future. I have decided the brakes just need help with the rim sizes. Here is what i would like to do: 17x9 in front and 18x10.5 in the rear. That is what i would like to do. I do not run the quads, I have an axle back exhause (no plans on running all the way to the back) have no problem rolling the fenders and am pretty good with a torch. My question is what would need to be done to make them fit. Can they fit without some kind of tubbing? I would be running a really low pro tire maybe 35 series. I know that the 90-93 have a little more room for rubber but am not sure if an 82 has the same as the 83-89. Any thoughts or am i a fool for even thinking it?
