So my car, for whatever reason, stops at 104mph which actually measures 109 on my GPS but none the less it wont less me pass it.. feels like a limiter. I got tons of power left and it suddenly just feels like my power stops??

I have a predator and try to turn it off but won't let me. I switch both settings to off on the tuner but when I plug it back on in it still reads on?? Am i doing something wrong? All my other settings on it work fine though.

i don't remember what the numbers were on my predator, try setting it to the highest number instead of turning the limiter off

The 4.10s are limiting your top miles per hour because they are making the engine spin faster to achieve a given speed.

What RPM is the engine turning at when you hit the wall on speed?

My car is an automatic and I noticed this problem after I got my 3.73's installed. Took it out to the track and ran it with OVERDRIVE off, and as soon as I hit 100mph - righ on the buzzer - the car would maintain speed but not go any faster. Next run I turned O/D off and I broke through 100 no problem. Next run, turned O/D back on to test the problem and it hit the 100mph wall. If you have an automatic try this. If not, then you're screwed.

Well since its crazy snowy here it is difficult to try it out but if I remember correctly it's close to the end of 4th maybe around 5-5500rpms and in 5th around 4k

I agree wiht Kilgore, it could very well be the gears topping you out. My car will easily pass that speed in 5th.

even in 4th gear with a manual it is only 5500 rpm. it should pull well past that. what size tires and rims came on your car stock??

I have stock GT 17inchers.. 255/45 i do believe.. yea it doesn't feel like I'm running out of gear.. sounds more like the fuel just cuts or something.

Stan Weiss' - Automotive Performance Software / Interactive JavaScript to Calculate Speed(MPH) for given RPM, Rear Gear Ratio and Trans Gear Ratio

tires should be around 25.67 dia

if it's a t45 the 5th gear ratio is 0.67, 0.62 for t3650

We have a long cool down lane at our track and I've blown right thru 110 with no issues. I'm at 6 grand then but I prefer to stay under that. 4.10's should not be limiting your top speed thru the traps in 4th unless you are reaching mid to low 12's.

I read a similar post somewhere else. Turned out the car was a rental unit originally, and had a speed limiter that couldn't be overriden.

My old car had 4.10's on the 4R and did 140+. There's some other problem besides his gearing.

Could be even as simple as a plugged fuel filter. But sounds like you're hitting a speed limiter.

Make sure your carpet isn't way of the gas pedal. I felt stupid when this happened to me. Can you go back to your stock programming? I would try that and see if that takes care of the problem. I have a X-cal2 and my car will easily blast thru 100mph. Pearl02.
