I have a 408w with 4" stroke , and im running a main girdle.
Im currently using a Canton 9Qt. T-sump pan, that I had to highly modify with a hammer to clear the rear 2 main girdle nuts, and again near the center of the pan for #4 and #8 rod throw.

Im looking to replace my pan with one that doesnt need modifing.
a little deeper in the back section. Perferably a T sump with trap doors.

any ideas?
thanks

I can tell you that the Moroso 7 QT front sump oil pan I just bought (p/n 20507) required a sh1tload of work to get it to fit.

I just installed an 8 qt milodon with girdle and I had to grind the girdle to fit. Don't beat up your oil pan, just break out your grinder and take about 1/8 inch off the the pass side (#3 & 4 cyl) of the girdle and the same amount off the location that goes around the oil pump.

Those areas are not my problems. I think I already fix those areas.
my problems are:
I run a main girdle that requires longer studs, and the 2 on the back interfere with the pan (the shallowest part of the pan) I beat the crap out of it to make it fit originally, broke the pan in the process and JB welded it up.
Also rod throws #4, #8 same story.

Since I have my pan off, I've decided to try to find a pan that will fit out of the box. If I cant find one, Im going to take it to a welder for some modifications.
