I use Hawk ceramic pads, they are great but quite expensive.

the hawk ceramic pads dust very little. I could go for a couple months without cleaning my wheels and they aren't covered in brake dust.

Softer pads will grip a little better, and they do wear faster, but are easier on rotors. Usually a good ceramic pad will not leave as much noticable dust on the wheels. Organic leaves the most dust, while metalic leaves the least, most pads are a mixture.

Hawk regular or HPS are you looking at? The HPS makes a lil more dust and doesn't last as long especially with slotted rotors.
