i have a 1990 lx 5.0 the only performance adjustments i have made is a 2 and 1/2 exhaust system. I want to put a 4:10 gear a shift kit a kam and some ported heads. I also want to put on a gt-40 intake and a bigger throttle body...what are some opinions. it is an automatic and i am still in high school on a lower budget. I work with a mechanic so labor costs are not a problem. Which of these mods would be the best to do first.

I'd do gears, then an intake. Next I'd put some money in a stall convertor/shift kit/tranny cooler for the AOD.

I'd do gears first as stated earlier, but i dont think the bigger throttle body would gain you much if any on the stock heads with the cobra intake, i'd hold off ont that till you put in at least some GT40 heads or better.

The 4.10's are a good starting point, then go with the subframe connectors,
a stall converter would be a good choice also.
