I need you guys in here w/ MCA judging knowledge.

I was wondering how correct a certain engine and its parts would be in a project. It will be a couple years b/c of my schooling but I plan on getting two '65-66 fastbacks, one for a restomod and one I want to actually go through the pain in the butt factor of making it a near perfect showstopper. I plan on gettin an original GT for my use, hopefully even originally Emberglo(love that color for some reason) and I have a nice powerplant. It's an all original 289 HiPo removed from a '67 Shelby G.T. 350 with all the cobra trim including oil pan. Now...that motor fully restored to its original condition...would that be acceptable in a full concourse showcar with its Cobra trim? I can sell the motor for about 3000 bucks and I reeeeaaaally hate to let it go though b/c it cost me $400. So if I'd hafta change stuff I may just sell it and get me another later. Do they check VIN stamps to match the engines at the shows?
