meh...

I HATE and I mean HATE knowing that I *owe* someone somehow.

I don't know about your family.. but back in the day.. under DAD's roof.. If I did something wrong and he bought me that car.. he would taken away from me as punishment.

That is why I never gave him that "leverage." Every car i've driven has been payed for and owned *legally* by myself.

Its a pride thing I guess.. It doesn't matter anymore since I've been on my own for a while now. Thats just My opinion.. you can take it or leave it.

This is the only reason I'd say not to buy the Cobra. If it doesn't bother you, do it, considering the car is nice. Show pics and list mods for your car, and show pics of the Cobra.

if you really wanted that cobra you wouldnt be posting this. go with your gut

Truth.

If you get the Cobra, it will be a nice car, but you didn't build it. Plus the 5.0 will always be the one that got away, and years from now you'll be the one saying "I had one just like that back in the day".

I've had my 93 for eight years now and don't ever plan to sell it. It was my dream car for many years and I finally found the one I wanted and have made it just the way I want it. My wife and I have talked about getting a new Shelby (went so far as to put a down payment on one), I've had the opportunity to buy a teal 93 Cobra with a KB on it and we even looked seriously at an 03 Cobra when they first came out. We could have afforded to purchase any one of those but we only have a two car garage so either my 93 or my wife's 96 Cobra would have to go. They're both staying, so until we move to a place with a bigger garage, we stuck with what we've got.

ok well i decided to keep my stang and buy a notch back roller. well today in auto tech my teacher walked up to me and offered me an unbuilt 97 cobra motor and he gave it to me for free. He has every part for it, so now i am going to put this motor into a notch back coupe and make it a HOSS!! im so excited does any body know how much Hp they would put with a whipple or KB sitting on top? I can't wait till i go home and start working on it.
