today i picked up a set of heads for my Cobra to replace the ones that are FUBAR.

they are a set of FR500 Heads with 2003-2004 Cobra cams and valves.

FOR $1500 total!!!

i couldnt believe it. i cant wait to get my call all back together and fixed to see how it feels.

they were starved for oil (built and forged stroker moter, stock oil pump) and one of them had a timing chain snap and a valve smashed into a piston. i was told by a machine shop they are not fixable...or it was not financially feasible to have them fixed. so i got new ones.

its a pain finding heads for the car though. they are not readily available and ford wants $1100 for brand new BARE heads......EACH!!
