Because we were being asked to compete in a class that needed some help and the V8 isn't eligible in the class. Well as soon as the car was bought and the build started, the recruiters who we first spoke with (who have cars in that class) all dropped out themselves and at that point the class had 2 years left before it was doomed. Some major switching went on this year, they gave us some of the modifications we wanted but the car still isn't even competitive. We figure now our best shot is to switch setups completely and run in a new, faster class that is more geared for Mustangs and the like.
