I think im missing something?

I was working on my 89 GT and my buddies 87 GT the other night and i knoticed that on his car there is a relay attached to the fenderwell just in front of the RH shock tower. My car has the harness but there is no relay attached to it and by the look of the connector there has not been any thing there in a long time. Does anyone know what the purpose of this relay is?

Perhaps the fog light power relay? Dunno what you've got equiped vs. your buddy.

My 87 has it, but my 89 did not. There have been slight changes I noticed over the years with different cars with various things. I could try and figure out where it goes, but I suspect you're not missing anything and it was just one of those things that changed.
