I just love having my car in low gears the car sounds good just driving tru place doing like 30 in 2nd gear..I am starting the think about puting a 5 speed in the car..I am sure its cheaper then gettting a built up automatic..
I hear ya man. I hated my auto in my old v6 w/ the auto. I always wanted to put a 5-speed in, but since I knew I would get rid of it, I never did. I know Mustang Parts Specialties (now MPS Salvage http://www.mpsautosalvage.com) has auto to 5-speed swap kits and ebay is also a great resource. You could do the manual shift kits, but remember the 5-speed has that extra gear which really sets apart the 5-speed and auto.
which transmission is the best for our cars mine is startin to go I want the T-56 but dont really have the money for it. Ive heard that there are some trannys that are junk that came stock but dont know which ones.
i drive with my auto in 1st gear and wind that bitch out and listen to the exhaust when the RPM's drop back down...
Auto>Manual at track...
Manual much more fun for street cruising though.
Get a Torque Convertor and do a Jmod and you'll have no problems with 5speeds and for half the price of a 5sp swap.
