hey guys
i have 95 5.0 but i want more power and i've been reading a ton of posts and so on... but i just cant seem to decide on what to do next ---- my budget is not too big (around $500)
So far in the past 3 months (which is when i bought this baby) i've done the following --- BBK CAI, BBK pullies, 4.10 gears, recent tune-up and all royal purple fluids, new pioneer sfi HB, x-pipe, BBK headers, suspension work (shocks and springs), new falken ziex's, MSD ignition, MSD distributor + new cap and rotor, short-shifter, timing set at 14*, bypass the smog pump and a hi-flow water pump with a 180*thermostat.... and i think thats about it
What do i do next to get a decent amount of power out of her???
Sorry for the long post and ANY suggestions are a great help
THANK YOU

I am all about most bang for your buck when your dealing with a budget and $500 is a tight one. I would say if you want some big gains but dont need it there full time, the nitrous is it. Drawback is bottles need to be filled. The intake wont be so big but that is power there all the time wich is what I would do. Decisions Decisions Decisions.

If you're looking to do some work on a budget, I've seen (I know they're not the best) Powerdyne superchargers on Corral for around $8-900 used for a complete kit. After that, you could always save for more mods, but still satisfy your urge on a more permanent basis than N2O would. I can't say what sort of condition they're in, but a Powerdyne doesn't go for much new, so getting one for around half price doesn't sound like a bad deal to me personally.

you couldnt give me another powerdyne. and if you did i would use it as a boat anchor or doorstop before it would ever find its way back under the hood of my car. a budget h/c/i is the way to go man. dont waste your money on a powerdyne blower. as the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Here ya go man: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-9...016QQitemZ260084029063QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

This will give you everything you need for less than 500 bones. And don't listen to anybody's negative talk about Typhoon intakes. If you can use a dremel or die grinder you can clean it up in no time and save alot of money. Hell, you could only get the Edelbrock intake and nothing else for this price!

how much for a pound? its $3 by me. the bottle usually has a few pounds left in it so it only cost me about $20 to fill.

as far as elaborating what i meant by a budget h/c/i, if the budget is really tight you can go with a set of gt40p's, and explorer intake, and a tfs 1 cam. if the budget is not that tight, a set of gt40x heads would be a better choice.

I regretted it. It just didn't seem "all that" to me for some reason. I was expecting more power than what I got. Just my-o.

all dependends where you get it....i have found a place here that will fill mine for $3 a pound plus tax which comes out to $32.70 but before i found this place it was costing about $38 to fill i just rounded up in my figure above because the price fluctuates with location but $3 a pound is about the best price i think you can find anywhere...and if you add it all up within a year or two depending on how much you use the nitrous you could easily spend the amount on nitrous kit and nitrous to buy a turbo or super charger power adder.
