You just have to replace the steering column and steering wheel from a non-airbag pre-90 car. They're usually available on eBay for pretty reasonable prices and the swap is very straightforward.
Not to hijack your thread, but I recently aquired a 88 tilt steering column with no electronics on it. Will all of my electronics from my non-tilt 1990 steering column transfer over?
