I want to go with Braided fuel lines, w/ catch!!

I want to replace the fuel lines that go from the hard lines that enter the engine bay, to the fuel rails. I need to know if this can be done.

I know I can get the adaptors for the fuel rails so that is not a problem. My problem is how do I connect the braided line to the hard line, is there adaptors for this? If so what are the part #'s.

Now before someone says, "why do you want to do this?" it is because of two reasons:

1. Cosmetic looks
2. I am changing the location where the fuel goes in to the rails. It will enter into the back, by the firewall, rather than the front of the fuel rail. So the stock preformed lines will be too long to route them neatly.

Help me out guys, I'm kinda thinking I may not be able to do this unless I replace the lines all the way back to the fuel tank.

you will need a few fittings, 2 B Nuts the right size, 2 tube sleeves to go with the b nuts, 2 unions, 4 an hose ends, 2 pieces of braided line, and the fuel rail adapters. you will also need a bubble flaring tool also. I dont exactly know the sizes but that should give you an idea. I would suggest Aeroquip or Earls Fittings.

I did it with bigger rubber hoses but never braided lines. I just cut the hard plastic lines off the old connectors. and just double clamped them. I don't think that will work with your though.

Now there is an adapter that allows you to use
AN fittings to connect to your fuel rail. But i don't know how you would connect to the steal lines. I would say to just run new braded steel all the way to the rear of the car.

I looked on ebay and only found a set of used adapters but for that price it would be worth it.

Yeah, I figure this would be a problem. I can get a set of fuel rail adaptors but with out replacing the lines all the way back to the tank it may not work. I have to look into what Koniz is trying to tell me though.

CHP has a kit for aftermarket fuelrails. But you could call them up and see if you could buy just the adapter they use which looks like it would work perfect for what you need.

this is what i did. i am using the stock rails and i bought those 2 adapters from russell to connect braided line to the stock rails. i cut the 2 hard lines (feed and return) right before they go into the tank. i ran -6 braided line for the return from the rail back to where i cut the hard line. i used a fuel injection hose clamp to hold the braided line to the hard line. for the feed line i ran -8 braided line from the hard line i cut to the inlet of my inline fuel pump, -8 from the outlet of the inline pump to the inlet of the fuel filter, and -8 from the outlet of the fuel filter to the rail.
