I want to put on 305/35/18 tires on the rear, but which size up front?

I saw some nice drag radials on want to put on the rear (305/35/18), but any suggestions of what to put up front? I want something that wouldn't disrupt my ABS and something that is known to go together with them.

My car is lowered by the Eibach Pro Kit. So I'm thinking 1.5in. I would like to go with a 40 series tire if possible on the front because my wheel gap is pretty large right now (even with the pro kit springs) using my existing 255/35/18.

but also the rear sidewall will be kinda big too with 35% of 305

265/35/18 or 275/35/18. 40s would have too much sidewall for 18s.

I have 265s right now and will go 275s next time.

They are both larger OD than stock so youll need to correct your speedo, and you might rub.

by the way, if i put a tire that isn't that similar in diameter in the front, would there be anything wrong with that? 265/40's are pretty expensive in price when I checked.

You dont want 265/40s at all. Get 265/35s or 275/35s.

Will 275/35's be okay for the front with my car being lowered by the pro-kit? I rub my eibach sway bar on harsh turns with 255/35 currently.

I have 275/35/18 on the front of my Roush, I'm not sure how much of a drop it has from roush but it's low and I have no problems. On my old car I had 255/35 on the front and 295/30 on the back and it looked very nice I think...

275/35/18 is too wide. they will follow every imperfection in the road. trust me i work at a tire shop. get the 265/35/18 and they will work fine. you will not have a problem with the 295/40/18 either. my buddy ran them on his cobra for years with no problems

265s are always fine, i've heard of 275s rubbing. I've never heard of problems with 255s before though? Where did you buy your rims? Maybe the offset is wrong? 265s might track slightly less as others have mentioned.

OD = outer diameter. You want the diameter of your tire to be close to stock. Too much extra sidewall (i.e. those 40 series 18s someone mentioned) and youll run into rubbing problems. For the rears this will affect your speedo also.

The ones in bold in the spreadsheet I posted are closest to stock tire OD.
