Hey everyone I decided not to wait on the SLP. I had Flowmaster 40's welded in today. I also got my Motive 4:10's yesterday. I should have them installed next week.

The Flowmasters are 2-chambered and she sounds great.

I just purchased my first Mustang, a 2001 GT.

I would like to add a set of flowmaster mufflers to the stock pipes. What diameter are the factory pipes, and what muffler would you suggest, to get an aggressive exhaust note without alot of interior noise?

Thanks
Steve

The stock diameter is 2.25" and if your looking to get a aggressive exhaust note
get a Flowmaster American thunder
two chamber catback from www.mustangsunlimited.com!
When I installed my flowmaster catback
I was very happy with the sound and
performance.Welcome to Stangnet and
Congrats on your 01 GT!

I have the 2 1/2 flowmasters welded into my 2 1/4 flowtubes, and factory tailpipes. An exhaust shop can do it.They will make reducers(2 1/2 to 2 1/4 addapters),and weld them to the factory piping, then slide in the 2 1/2 flows in.I went this route, but i plan on getting the 2 1/2 tailpipes, and flow tubes, and all ready have the Mac h pipe.
