Does any one know where I can get a chin spoiler for a 68 coupe or if other year spoilers fit? I have seen them on 68s before and think they look cool on there, just could never get a response from anyone as to how or where it came from! Thanks, Ken

I know for sure Mustangs Plus has them, but I feel quite certain that Mustang Depot and many of the other vendors have them. Jay, the owner of Mustang Depot, is a regular on this forum. Give his company a call or go to mustangdepot.com. I wish you luck in keeping one of those damn things on the front of your car, however. I had one on my '65 at one time, and within a couple of months, it was busted all to ****nit.

One thing I've considered on this topic is a fairly heavy gauge metal, aluminum, or stainless steel spoiler in the approximate shape of an aftermarket chin spoiler but with greater ground clearance, which would mount to the radiator support and/or front frame rails for rigidity (maybe 2 or 3 inches higher in terms of ground clearance). Attach NASCAR style rubber to the lower edge of the spoiler to extend it groundward with stainless steel rivets or allen head bolts. If you used stainless or aluminum, you could opt to paint it or leave it natural with a clear coat on it. I once saw a '65 coupe that someone had replaced the taillight panel on with stainless or aluminum. It looked pretty damn cool, and it would look especially cool IMO, if you had a matching front chin spoiler to tie it all together. What do you guys think?

My chin spoiler has not scraped anything and the front end of my car has been dropped substantially (somewhere between 2 and 3 in)

Theyre easy to put on, I recommend starting in the middle and working outwards.

Anyone recognize this spoiler and where I can find one? Looks smaller than the Maier piece.

The one linked earlier looks small, too, but I'd have to see one on a car before deciding on it. The Maier one looks strange to me, like the car has a pointy chin because the spoiler sticks out further than the bumper. There really aren't much options out there for front spoilers and I might end up having to modify one from another car. Small and subtle is what I want, not something out of the 1970s IMSA-look days.

I have been thinking about adding one of these as well. I will definately avoid getting a fiberglass piece as they are too rigid and not forgiving. I will be looking for an abs plastic or similar. I have seen them before, just need to hunt it down.
