Regarding the little plates that people make to fix their hanging rpms. Which side of the car does the smaller hole go on. thanks

The smaller hole goes towards the motor part of the IAC.

Having done this mod, i dont understand why on earth it is so popular. Why in the world would u want your rpms to drop so fast? When ur racing, you want to keep in ur powerband, not drop out of it.

i made a plug out of aluminum for my restrictor. i drilled a .290 hole in it i believe. it was cool sounding on downshifts, but as far as funtionalitly.. the car is quicker with it off IMO.

+1 I did that years ago, and after about a month, removed it.

It never bothered me before, but since I changed my throttle-body and plenum I am having issues with the rpms hanging on to long so I am just trying it.

I dont have the IAC restrictor but im gonna get one as soon as i get my paypal set up. IT sounds soo much better with it and i hate the stupid rev hang, i dont believe it screws up the 1/4 time if you know what the hell your doing. Lots of other cars dont have rev hang

This is very interesting even though I can't figure what in the h3ll you guys are trying to say. I'd like to try this mod but all I can translate is that is involves the IAC and some plate. Thanks for the follow up!

when you rev your engine..the idles stay up for a bit, they 'hang' instead of falling right back down and producing a nice clean sharp sounding rev.

A modified IAC gasket, or "plate'' as its being called here will fix this problem.
