Well, my dad was going to get his car washed, stopped at the end of his street, looks right, and BAM some idiot crosses the center line and turns INTO the left lane!!! The guy who hit him was a total moron, trying to tell the cops my dad ran the stop sign...LOL...which wouldn't have mattered as the guy was driving left of center, and hit my dad while he was parked (his car deflected off my dads, and his airbag went off lol...). I took pictures (bunch more, but none really show the angle any better or worse than these). Whats scary is if my dad had just started to turn right instead of waiting for the guy to start turning, it would have been a much much worse full head-on collision

Best part was when my dad was trying to tell the tow truck guy where to take the car, and said "yeah I talked to my Audi dealer and they said they use Connors (or something) body shop, so take it there" and the tow truck guy replies "huh, audi...who's audi?" while he's sitting in the drivers seat...so my dad says "this car...it's a f***ing audi" and points to one of the audi badges inside the car haha. Oh yeah, and the guy who wrecked into my dad claiming neck injury, when his car didn't take nearly as much of the impact as my dads stationary vehicle (and my dads who is a doctor said the dude was moving and turning his neck fine pfft!).

Anyway...carnage pics!

^^there he's left of center in the street that runs N/S in the pic

^^My dad hasn't even crossed the sidewalk yet, just middle of the car even with stop sign to see around that house to the right

^^Destroyed the headlight, water lines for headlight douche, cracked or broke a line to either the intercooler or radiator I couldn't tell which lines were which they were pretty mangled, and bent/tore the fender bad enough it hits the door which will need re-aligned and painted.

^^and one of my car cuz I thought it looked pretty badass lol...

Sigh...and he just got the damn car! Maybe I can convince Dad its time for a chip/tune while its down

I used to have one, my car is too low...I bottom out K member on the highway

And its not really just a fender bender, there are only 3000 RS6's in America lol...that's like 10k in damages minimum.

That guy did one of my biggest pet peeves. People here in Ohio do it all the time too, cut the corner on a left hand turn. Usually they don't hit you if they're paying attention but after they go by you can tell that they are cussing you and all you're doing is sitting at a stop sign/light. If they would learn to make proper turns things like this would never happen.

New law; lets expand the 3 strikes rule to 3 stupid driving no-no's and you get tarred and feathered. Public humiliation at its best. Or have pink liscence plates for idiot drivers just like the yellow ones they have for DUI's.

I'm sorry to see that...

I see that with every left turn people make here too... I haven't seen an accident from it yet, but man there's been some close calls.

Need more traffic cops here... bust some idiots and get some more better drivers recognition for not doing stupid things!!!

Even "if" your dad ran the stop sign. What the hell was the other guy doing on your dads side of the road?

Yeah, exactly. The first responder sheriff was an ******* and said "obviously both of you are at fault!" LOL....but then his superiors came and told him he was an idiot and the dude was left of center obviously turning directly into the wrong lane

Well Ben, at least it's a clean cut case. Obviously the guy in the Acura is a dumb @ss

Poor Mr. Audi ...hope it gets fixed soon! I'd recommend bigger turbos while it's down, plus a chip and tune

That's a sweet Audi. I'd love to own an RS6 one day...or even an S4.

I have drivers who think the streets are an autocross course and try to cut to the inside of turns. I hate when i'm pulling up into a left turn lane and the drivers coming from the right side street are cutting the corner so sharp they are crossing the double yellow by an entire car's width!! I'm almost afraid to pull up in feal of getting my nose clipped.

That guy was an idiot too. How could he tell that your dad hadn't already made a legal stop and then started to take off? If you're turning right you are obviously looking at traffic coming from the right, not the left. At least your dad is ok though and the car can be fixed, just sux that its new. Good luck and I must say you have a sweet Stang!

your dad pulled pretty far past the stop sign. i don't believe he was stopped at the time of the accident judging by the pic. regardless, it still isn't his fault.

I'm pretty sure my dad was stopped, the way the guys car deflected offa his makes it look like the guy just clipped him, but really, he was pretty at a pretty much straight on 180 degree angle at time of impact, my dad had the wheels turned to the right so it pushed his car back and out, then the acura slid to his right. There were NO tires marks for the acura...but in other pics you can see how my dad had all four brakes locked and it skid backwards about 3-4". But yeah, even if my dad was creeping forward at the stop sign (its impossible to run that stop sign btw, the traffic coming from both sides is usually way way too high, and my dad drives like a grandma most of the time), he's within his rights to make a right turn when somebody should be making a left turn AROUND his car and not DIRECTLY into it ROFL
