My '99 GT does this same thing, but when I have the A/C on, it drops to 300 rpms or so. Someone told me to have my freon recharged and it should go away.... i'm not sure when I'm going to get to check it out or not. I've so far cleaned the TPS, changed my IAC valve, and no resolve.
I know alot ford haters, go figure, and so they like to point out the flaws of ford to me all the time. I remember them telling me once about the A/C compressors crapping out ealry on fords... I dunno if thats true or not, but it uses the belt, and it made my rpms drop worse with the A/C on. Could it be a compressor issue maybe? I dunno, i'm just throwing bones at this point - this issue with my car is really irritating me once I come to a complete stop.
