idle,rev and drop!

hello guys another quickie from me!

i have a 98GT auto

my idle rpm is around 700rpm, when i rev the engine and let the revs drop back down again, they drop just below 500rpm and then shoot back up to 700rpm straight away?


this a problem? or is it normal?

all ihave done to the car is a CAI, SLP catback and removed the cats!

I believe it is normal for the idle to do that after you rev the engine and then let the idle drop.

i just wanted to check cos my mates 96 idles about the same but when he revs it and it comes back down it stops at 700ish but his is a manual!

so i thought that the difference might be auto to manual or im just being paranoid! lol
