Well my parents bought me a mustang for my 16th bday which is Sunday.

When i start it i have to hold the key for about 3 seconds before it starts.
Also ill let it idle a while, then go to press the gas and the RPMs drop about 200 rpms nad the revs on up, also it idles a little rough.

I have listed for vaccum leaks under the hood and the hoses look to be in good shape, we were told that he had put new plugs in it. Any other ideas, I've also added fuel system cleaner.:SNSign:

Thanks for any help you may give me:hail2:

Yeah thats what ive been thinking, just need to go to auto zone. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt something else i needed to pick up. Thanks for the help. Not much gas should come out since the pump wont be running correct, car has been sittin for over a day now as my dad took my seat to work to weld the bracket back together.

You will still have several ounces of fuel spill out once the line is taken loose. If you would have the system pressurized, it would be much more.

As far as the sputtering, just do a basic tune up and see what happens. Get all new filters (air, fuel, oil), change plugs, clean mass air meter, and new o2 sensors............all of those things will help your mileage too
