well i cant ****ing figure out my idling problem. but i did notice its worst when its cold, but its still not perfect. i was thinking could it be the spark plugs are gapped to low? i think there at .038 whatever was the safest for the nitrous

oh yeah and when im cruising at 1,500 my car kind of sputters

if it didnt do it before your intake then i would suggest a vacuum leak.


but on the shooting the maf comment. be sure to film that

i looked for vaccum leaks but cant find any. i know i read somewere on here on how to look for them with something and then see it idles higher for a second or some **** like that.

it can either be a vacuum leak or maybe something isnt getting the right amount of vacuum? i think your issue is vacuum related because i had a similar problem last year.

i think what you are talking about is spraying carb cleaner or starting fluid around the vacuum lines and when the idle changes you found a hole.

how would i know something isnt getting enough vacum??

Buy a vacuum test gauge and try it out. They're like $20 at Autozone.

A healthy 5.0 should make 17-22 lbs of vacuum, steadily, at idle...mine makes 16 at idle while cold and works up to 17 at idle hot.

ok i forgot to say i can hear like a ssst ssst ssst, at idle is that a vacuum line or a header?

An exhaust leak would most likely sound like a metallic ping.

lol thanks im gonna take it the dam shop since i cant find it. i changed the MAF, ill see how it acts mañana lol

You can do that, too. But what's cheaper? Taking it to the shop .... or getting a vacuum tester? Even if you still can't find the problem after testing it, you may need the tester in the future. Be optomistic.
