If Having A 4bbl Carb Makes You A Hillbilly,........

Mike. I know you said you were going to have the stacks sticking out of the hood but, one option I looked into when i thought about putting a big block in mine, before coming up with the turbo idea, was to use K member spacers to get the big block to fit under a stock hood a little more easily. You can find examples of that idea on big block forums and build your own if you wanted. just throwing an idea out there for ya. Good luck on a project car for your soon and good to hear he is doing well in the air force. Like one of the other guys said in that post. Im sure I will be fallowing that build thread too.

Well I appreciate it as usual man,..but I'll say this:

If it comes to velocity stacks sticking out of the hood, or a front end 2" different from where it is currently,...I'll take the hole in the hood every time. I was looking at it over the week end, and I think that the current hood scoop will cover them anyways.

There'll be no build thread on any other car,.......the beater was decided against.

I was thinking a 1" spacer would raise the body an inch of course but, then lowering the coilovers 1" to compensate. For all I know, that wouldnt work anyway but, that sounds really cool that the stacks might fit under the scoop you have. Either way, the current hood or stacks sticking out. Im sure its going to look bad a**. good luck with it.

I have an old school solution to the hood hole.

In my mind i can see some drop spindles countering the K member spacers to make a big block fit under a hood. Man that would be so badass. There's no sleeper like a big block under a stock hood. Who would guess that? Then go and put a rear turbo kit on it and all bets are off.
