Please bear with me on this and read it all and give me your honest input. I told my friend that I would ask everyone here that has been involved with Mustangs for a few years what you guys think and if it is possible to do.

I havnt been here in a while and I know everyone is tired of the threads of will the 03-04 cobra supercharger work on a 99-04 GT. I was talking with a friend of mine a few days ago who is getting all the supercharger goodies from an 03 cobra for free. He has an 06 GT and has modded the crap out of it already. He is planning on giving the stuff to me if we can make it work.

My friend has his own rod shop and in conjunction with his friends they can build just about anything. They have tools to do just about everything you can think of. Anyway in talking with him about how installing a supercharger from an 03 cobra would take extensive work we got to talking about fabricating an intake that allows you to bolt on the supercharger. He does not joke around when it comes to this sort of thing, they are a very serious bunch when it comes to cars.

What he wants to do/try is to see if they can make an intake for the 99-04 2-valve engines and if they would accomplish that he is wanting to make one for the 3 valve engines. He has recently purchased a sniper programmer and has learned it inside and out and if intakes could be fabricated to work he would also setup a flash to be supplied with the intake. He also has access to a dyno to do further testing.

With all that said please dont rip on me for this. I just want your honest opinions if this could be done and would there be any interest in it.

anything can be done given enough time and money...

I think with the right tools and materials it would be an intersting and fun "one-off" project, but I don't know how much commercial sense it would make to try and sell kits to do it

with all of the supercharger kits out, i don't believe a kit to run 03 cobra blowers on GT's would be cost beneficial. you'll probably end up paying just as much to slap a cobra blower on as it would be to buy a better kit. the Eaton blowers aren't much to brag about.

it would have to be in the $500 range to be something that people would purchase.

eaton's arent much...but you can find entire setups off cobras for $1500ish...if you could grab an intake for $500 and have an eaton on a GT for $2000....people would grab it and make 350 rwhp and be tickled pink

like ive said before, $2k for a complete eaton setup on a GT, sign me up. sure you can get other kits, but you cant touch them until you get into the $3k range. not to mention the price for $2K kit is based on a stock eaton at stock boost. you still have a ****load of pulleys out there, and you can port the eaton for cheap (Stegemier for instance), and you turn that 350hp eaton setup into an easy 500hp capable, your weakness being your motor. and IMO based on having a pullied cobra for a few months, i think 350whp with an easy and cheap attainable 100hp after that (being your tune), i think thats a bargain.

however, there is someone already working on such a kit. someone on here posted a link not too long ago about getting testbed vehicles ready for installs before they market the kit. so it will happen, us 2v modular guys just need to be patient.
