and change one thing about the II, what would it be?

power aside, because any monkey can add a new mill.

I would have to say, that I would have them make the tunnel bigger to accept standard bells/manifolds.

Good question!

I'd have 5 lugs per wheel instead of 4.

Relocated the gas tank so the exhaust could be safely routed around it.

Relocate the fuse box.
Make a tilt wheel an option.

Add a couple of inches to the wheelbase, and make 14" wheel standard.

another vote for bigger wheels

13" wheels is fine for the base models but the Mach 1 / Cobra II / King Cobra should have gotten at least 14 x 7" alloys

I would make the mirrors bigger. You can hardly see anything out of those tiny things.

I'd have to agree with the fuse box too.

I'd have to say make it a little wider, that would make it easier to add a little more room to the engine bay(header fitment issue), and easier to add the extra room to Sleepers bigger trans tunnel

Oops, and I had to really think hard to come up with 2 things.

How about the heater core replacement on A/C equipped cars? Granted you'll probably only do it once but it's without a doubt the worst repair on a II and it seems that every one I've owned had to have it done.

Rejected the RAD Trans and offer a Toploader 4 speed instead with a Toploader 3 speed w/overdrive as an option on the V8 and V6 models.

Redesign the strut rod setup, so that, well, there are no strut rods.(nor that stupid strut rod support frame that gets in the way of big headers)

But in my own defense, I was in Kindergarten at the time, so I couldnt be of much help with the II.
