I hate digging up old posts, but what exactly is the "proper" sealent for the crank key?

I have a set of used Steeda U/D's that need to be installed. I want to get them on this weekend.

Thanks!

I used just gasket maker on mine. Thats what it suggested I do believe.

And as for everything else mentioned. Those of you who are thinking about them... GET THEM.. they make a great difference for the money, I have two 10's bridged on a 750 amp at full power... and I notice no dimming, no loss of A/C or anything!

I want to get one pretty soon. But I don't have any air tool for that Alternator bolt that everyone's talking about. Will my 3" breaker bar do the trick?

Yup.. RTV/Silicone..thats what i used.

as for breaking the alt pulley. i didn't have air tools. I hooked up a breaker bar and put about a 6 ft piece of PVC pipe on it and yanked the crap out of it.

no SOTP help from my MAC ud pullies... I didn't do the install myself, paid 50 bucks to get it done. In fact, if anyone wants to trade the stock alternator/waterpump/crank pullies from 96 for a set of MAC UD then i'd be willing to do it. Just got a vortech and those UD's sorta defete the objective.

While this thread is active, was it ever determined whether or not the Bullitt edition GT had underdrive pullies standard?

There were rumors that it came with them, if maybe not one on the alternator...anyone know for sure?
