... for a mostly stock car, what blowers would you be looking at? What's the best bang for my buck? Are any brands consistently below average in reliablity or more expensive to repair? This will be going on a completely stock motor (other than upgrading components to support the supercharger). What would you go with?

Never drove a Novi so I can't compare the two but I put an A-trim on my older setup (intake, maf, exhaust, etc...small stuff) and LOVED it.

What kind of numbers were you putting down with that A-trim? And how much boost?

A A trim is basicly the same thing as vortechs SC trim unit. Doesnt flow as well as the novi or can produce as much boost safely.

The entire setup was: 70mm throttle body/egr, 77mm Pro M MAF, 30# injectors, 255lph fuel pump, Typhoon intake, "stock" A-trim crank pulley with 2.95" blower pulley, 1 5/8 BBK shorty unequals, 2.5" BBK Hpipe with cats and 2.5" MAC catback, and Ford Racing 9mm wires. Everything else was stock. I put down 295/330 at 5800RPM (began to run lean) but we didn't get a boost reading. I had no gauge at the time and their diagnostic device was less than optimal.

Sc-Trim is my choice but either one of all those that Rick91GT mentioned are all good. Whatever you can get the best price on is what I would get.

with a completely stock motor i dont see any reason to run an expensive blower that exceeds the capabilities of the motor. A novi 1000 or Sc-trim vortech is really the way to go.

Agreed a novi 2000 is a pretty serious blower, after h/c/i go ahead and split that block!
