Ignition problem

I am about to purchase a 1979 mustang GT and all of a sudden the car is having problem starting. Engine turns over fine and there is plenty of fuel getting to the engine. We thought that it might have been the coil, changed it three times but still no fire. There is no power getting to the coil, we tried to see if the coil and the coil wire would arc and that didnt work. So right now we kind of out of idea's. Any advice would be greatly appericated.

Look for power on the White/LT Blue wire going to the coil. It should be hot anytime the ignition switch is in the run position.

Beyond that, you'll have to find someone who has one of the non-EFI stangs for help.
