ignition??

I have a 2002 Mustang GT.

I'm not getting any spark, the timing is correct, the crank sensor and ECU are brand new. the engine turns over has fuel & compression just no spark. someone told me it could be the chip in the key or the PATS system messing up. if the alternator isn't hooked up on the car does that matter? because I'm waiting on my new one to come in. this no spark $hit happened when the alt gave out. can someone give me advice on ignition components and their locations? And how to check them. thanks

if the battery is good, it should fire-up. did you check the EEC power fuse in the pwr dist box, under the hood? is the crank sensor connected, wires going to it good?

was the engine out and re-built? if so did some one put the crank trigger wheel on?

Yes, the battery and the sensors are good. And so are the wires No it hasn't been rebuilt it only has 53k miles on it.

does the alternator create spark to the COP's and plugs?
