Hey guys, has any one here used IDC (illinois dyno center in Port Byron Ill.) I have just bought a used SQ-Trim for my 02 GT and need a custom tune/pump/Mass air and injectors for the kit. Does anyone know if they could handle this. Or should I just order a mail order tune from Breenspeed, MPH, Bamachips. JMS or other tuner.
I would like pro's and Cons from these guys
Thanks, John

It's like this, your going to need a flash tuner like SCT or Diablosport so you have to buy that to tune it. So you might as well buy it from MPH and have them do a tune based on your exact mods and what you want - then just pay IDC for a dyno pull - get your numbers and check you a/f ratio. If something is off, tell MPH and they can help you make any changes. Should save you like $300, advice courtesy of Hotmustang

Or you can check out Kurgan Motorsports up in Rockford. Bob Kurgan has tuned most of the modified Mustangs running around the Chicagoland area, with nothing but positive reviews. You can check out ChicagolandMustang.com or ChicagoSVT.com - he is a sponsor on both of our local sites.

Bob can set you up with a tuner, tune, and any other items you may need. He doesn't just tune Mustangs, he races his own as well:

If you want more info you can shoot him a PM on CMC or send him an email. I had Bob tune my car after I read the numerous threads recommending him over and over. Plus hes easy to contact, he answered all my emails and questions before I even decided on getting my tune. He also set me up with a base tune on the Xcal2 I received from him so i could safely drive my car to his dyno/tune facility after my blower install.

Bob's also at the local tracks most of the time. He lives right near Byron and is always out there helping customers with any questions they might have or tweaks to their tune they might need. Hes also helped numerous guys who don't even have a tune from him, from the club/forums, while at the track.

Just thought I'd shoot you this info from my personal experience. I Mapquested Port Byron, IL to Rockford and its about a 1.5-2 hour drive. Definitely worth the trip. I'd at least send him an email with the above questions you had and go from there.

Heres his website: LINK

And I'm not recommending him simply because he is a sponsor on our local sites, as we also have 3-4 other sponsors with tuning abilities. I'm just giving you my own experience from dealing with Bob and hearing about others who have gone with him for tunes. My post probably reads like an ad, but I'm just passing along all the info to help out and give you another option. I am in no way associated with Kurgan Motorsports - I'm just a happy customer. You can tell him the guy with the slow Eaton'ed 2valve sent ya over, haha.
