I finally realized I'm in love with my car.She was hauled off to the tuner today and I'm a nervous wreck,I jump when my phone rings, feel like calling the tuner to see if every things ok,while signing all the releases before I left I felt like i was giving away my first born.I bought her new when I was 25(first new car)put a 1000.00 down and took the payments, begged my dad to co-sign.Nobody has driven her except me,my sister and my dad,I was in the car when they drove. She has been with me for the last 20 yrs,god i'm pathetic.Just hope all goes well with the tune, hope the bottom end can handle the blower.

In 20 years you haven't decided to replace the bottom end?

You should be safe if you don't throw to much boost to it. But you never can tell. After all, you are dealing with 20 year old internals.

So what does having 20 year old internals have to do with anything? My engine in my car is from an 89 and I have about 68 k on it now.

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

I personally have 30y/o internals and they work just as well as the day I was born

Dont worry, there are plenty of people on here with stock un-opened shortblocks making amazing power on spray and boost. With a healthy tune itll be fine. Then again, i blew mine up NA but it wasnt from making too much power, sometimes shat happens! Good luck, and let us know what happens!

thanks for your words of reassurance. The guy thats tuning it came highly recomended by 3 other people.Plus nobody else in the area is tuning right now.Closest tuners are in akron, ashtabula, cleveland and pittsburg. At least if it needs some tweeking after he's done he's only 10 mi away.Still haven't heard anything from him, that might be good, might be bad.I'll wait till monday pm to call,if I don't hear from him first.Don't want to be a pain in the a**.

I go to a shop in ohio, they said a red foxbody GT was just stolen out of their shop a couple days ago, I would call to see if it's yours.
