I'm back to give it another shot

I've put out my apology to those who were offended by my statement. That's all I can do. It's been a long time since i was here and that was the reason I left. I can't offer any explanation other than that.

FWIW, I'm still in shock that so many people went bizerk over what I said. I just don't get it even after re-reading it.

You know that punk attitude that you find on alot of boards with young members? That's what I encountered when I first joined. It was all about who beat what on the street and noone could answer a tech question. I decided that wasn't for me since I had another board that was my primary one. People have enough conflict and strife in their lives without having to deal with internet drama. Again, I DIDN'T COME HERE TO CAUSE PROBLEMS OR INSULT ANYONE. I apologize to those of you who took it that way.

I'll be on my merry way now. To those of you who DO know me. I'll see you at TMS.

Yes, sadly I know it very well, I think we all do, but running from it does not fix it, sticking around and making it a better place does though. All the punks get very tired very quick when they are ignored, and then all us Stangers win in the end, hell, we even have some Chevy guys in here, so a little tolerance can go a long way. If you had another board great, I'm glad that worked out with little or no effort on your part, we feel this place is worth fighting for though, so we ride out the occasional newbie punk issue, and weed out the good from the bad, by the looks of most of us, the ugly are also welcome :D . If we all ran at first site, this entire website would be punks running around typing Boobies on all the threads and it would have noting to do with stangs at all, just the horses ass.

Look at it this way, let's pretend you own a restaurant, a guy comes to the desk and you give him a big "Good afternoon sir, how may we help you today at chez J-pony?" and he says "Yeah, I came here a year ago and I freaking puked for a week, your food was rotten so I didn't pay, but I'm hoping this time I enjoy it" how would you feel exactly? Would you be more inclined to treat him like a king or wiz in his soup?

We would be happy to have you if you want to make things better, but don't cry over spilled milk if you plan to walk around it so someone else can clean it up when you return.

BOOBIES!!!!

Welcome back J.

It's the internet. A thick skin will serve you well. I have been a regular on racing boards and believe it or not, cigar boards since the mid-90s.

When it comes to flames, those cigar guys make this place look like kindergarten...LOL.

Stick around a while and remember, there is no crying on Stangnet! ;)

Whoah! hahah, scared me for a second there. I had to go check just in case Brad pulled the plug on me. :D :owned:
Yep, my bad. I use several computers and had not logged into the site from my computer at work. I logged in today just to check and sure enough, classic board is there.

EVERYONE READ MY POST AGAIN. I hope this settles it once and for all.

Much better!

Hey, I am super happy for you that your family has fallen in love with your stang. My kids go for rides in mine all of the time. I have a motorcycle and sleds and there isn't much a guy can do with a 5 yr old and a 2 yr old on either of those. But they do like riding with me in the Mustang. My little guy makes engine noises when we go for a spin. Still gotta get the wife to appreciate it like the rest of us do though :p

Glad to have you back! Classic Mustangs are my favorite car out there and this is an awesome site. Great info and looking forward to hearing progress on your car!

Okay, read most of the posts. This forum has it's good and bad times, but for the most part it's kind of tame. There is another forum on automobiles that gets really roudy. It's a good thing I guess, lets people think they're better than others. It's just sticks and stones IMO. Good luck with the resto.
