Im changing my O2 Sensors this weekend.. Anything I should know?

I finally am changing them. I got my O/R H-pipe not too long ago, so breaking them loose shouldnt be a huge problem.

Anything else?

make sure your exhaust is completely cool first. Working on my friends 04 GT, they were still a little warm, and somehow one crossthreaded itself coming OUT.

nope, goes pretty easy, make sure u put the anti-sieze that comes with them on.

Tell me about it. same thing happened on a the header stud. Somehow while unscrewing the bolt, it crossthreaded itself and we ended up busting the stud off. Its a press in stud, so its gonna be a PITA to repair.

Sometimes the differing coefficients of expansion (dissimilar metals joined together) can cause issues (Parchisis's experience).

I'd hit the O2's with PB the night before removing them, and then again right before removal.

The neverseize idea for the new ones is a very good idea. Just keep it away from the probe itself.

You should have no problem taking them off. Mines where the originals with 154k on them and i just pulled them off few weeks ago. Just used some wd40 car completly cold some crows feet wrench socket and the came out super easy. Good luck

Don't be banging around on em or near by their mounting location.

Don't drop them as well.

It helps if you have the o2 socket as well, I got under the car jacked up and expected to get them out...I couldn't...had to bring it to a lift! :-O.
You're probably more mechanically inclined than I am, though.

7/8" wrench and there are 4, 2 infront of your cats and 2 after the cats thats all you need to know! theyre a pain unless you have longtubes

if you already removed em once to put hte offroad pipe on they should be easy to do again
why are you replacing them? pulling codes? preventive maintenance?

The right one throws a CEL under hard acceleration sometimes.

It threw one on the way to the track when we went. lol

When I dropped my stock h-pipe it landed on one of the o2's and I didnt think nothin of it, intsalled h-pipe, CEL, so yeah as gradey says be careful with em.
