Some people have nothing better to do than whine to anybody who'll listen to them. Hell, I waited 7 months from the time I ordered my 03 Mach 1 until the day I picked it up, try that on for size, then come talk to me.

GT

I remember when the corvette was non existant for the 83 Model year, even though they had the cars ready to build. Vette drivers cried then. The Corvettes were already updated for the 84 EPA regulations, so Chevy decided to wait and release them as 84s. That was a sales ploy then and much like Ford did this year to some degree. But then the base Corvette coupe price went from 18 grand in 82 to 21 grand in 84. Ford at least kept the car in a good price range compared to the 04 model year....So take tit for tat. If you want one, go get one. They are available (I have seen them on the roads and on transporters since the last week of October) and most dealers are not marking them up over sticker. (some are, sadly) They did have some problems with a few production items, but got things worked out. They knew the cars were in demand and when the hysteria is toned down, they will just be "regular Mustangs again". If you want one, maybe being late in getting one will save you some money. In my case, the dealer knocked the price down for me. He didnt have to, since he had 3 or 4 people wanting the car if I said no....good luck in whatever you decide. Jon

Honestly, what did you expect from ordering a brand new car with this much hype? Two weeks? That is all you can wait until you take your money elsewhere?

Even so, why come to a Mustang board and tell us? Like we care. You think it is going to make us want one less because you are an impatient cry-baby?

Give it a rest and go take you money elsewhere already. We don't want to hear about it.

Yeah, Ford could have stockpiled the new Stangs and prepared for the demand, releasing them in mid 2005. But, they're available in Sept 2004. I understand it's frustrating waiting for something when you're excited, but this really isn't something to complain about. People have waited 25 years for this new car; what is a few extra weeks?

Take your business to another dealer if you're not pleased with them; it's not Ford's problem.

Crappy car company, what the hell are they pushing it from Michigan to Chicago? Don't sell it if you can't deliver it. I am so pissed at this point. I havn't owned a Ford for 15-years (rear main seals always leak) but this new stang is alot like my '68 so I thought I would get one. Not now not ever.

So you know the car was built. But you don't know what the reason for the delay is. So you blame Ford and say they are a ****ty company. And then say the car is a ****ty car. Did the dealer sell it out from under you possibly? Ask the dealer for a status report on it. They should be able to tell you where the car is. It should have codes representing where the car is along the line towards getting to you.

See the other post. His car came in this morning. Hope he went and picked it up. Let's give him a break. He was dangling off the deep end and had to vent a bit. I got my Mustang yesterday and its everything I wanted and more.

Don't blame FORD it's the Railroad that has the car

I've ordered a car that was shipped after yours and the deal is that they get held up at a mix yard at the railroad until they have enough cars (yes cars and box cars) going to your area. I know it take 12-36 hours to ship a car from MI to north TX. all depending on who bought what in your area will determine when the train bring the car to the drop off point. The they call the dealer & they get the car put on another over the road carrier then they dealer has to prep the car for you.
