im gona hang myself

I had the exact same problem about a month ago and what it ended up being was a combination of two things. 1 was there was a yellowish film holding the butterfly open about .010" from being closed. I also noticed the gas pedal would stick a little when i went to press on it with my foot. 2 one of my butterfly screws had stripped out and my butterfly was not able to close all the way. I would remove the tb and clean it out, then remove you iac and clean around the plunger with tb cleaner and qtips. If that doesnt work try adjusting the tp voltage to .97 volts. I highly recommend not drilling the butterfly until a last resort. Just my .02. Hope this helps.

Sorry man but by reusing all the gaskets you are just asking for trouble..

Have you done a spray test for vacuum leaks? My spray of choice is brake clean but I have also used carb cleaner and propane.. The only problem with propane is it hangs and can sometimes be hard to pinpoint exactly where the leak is..

The obvious thing with an intermittent hang would be the iacv, make sure it’s clean as stated in a previous post.

If you hang yourself, can I have the ported lower p.... :D

a vac leak will cause the revs to hang up, as you let off the pedal. say you are revving 3K and coming to a stop sign, so you pop it into neutral and let off the gas. rather than coming down really smooth and fast, it will "catch" a couple times on the way down to idle. sometimes it will not actually hang up (catch), but will just come down to idle really slowly.
good luck. go down to the parts store and grab a few plenum gaskets, so you have a spare when you remove one. as said, reusing them is asking for headaches.
